i remember the jungle room,. you had to enter one door and go out the other... constant flow of traffic... up the stairs and back around...

A fun night all in all...except for the bathroom situation, that is.
I lost all my friends to the jungle room, but when David Morales spun "Just Another Groove", I was happy to be wrapped up in my own little world

yeah this party had it all.. wicked huge space... amazing circular intelli-light things in the jungle room.. nicky blackmarket and stevie hyper throwin it down.. mad makeout sessions on the upper deck.. pizza hut.. one of the better parties in a year that i thought alot of things turned shitty.

The Utopia party was really cool. Except for the piss buckets and when my friend had to take a dump in a garbage can that was full to the rim with piss. Yuck. I remember being on the top level looking down at the stage Nicky Blackmarket! That was a really hardcore scene. The floor on the upper level in the jungle room had all these loose floor boards? Everything was rumbling like mad! (my eyes included) Who were the Utopia promoters?? Was this their only party?

nots ure who the promoters where, but they did another event after that one, with Carl Cox.
yeah,. this event is legendary.. seems everyone talks about it cuz so much shit just stands out. the buckets,. the lighting / stage in both rooms, the crazy location, the free tape with the advance tickets.
whoever it was, they had investors, good links overseas and great ideas!

I didnt like him and thats all Im saying. He invested in Ground Zero. Worst experience ever. Just xamount of attitude....

he was not italian he was black

uh.. well then he must of been the investor. I never met anyone else from Utopia. He said it was his. And that he owned it. This guys office was based out of TO at Laird and Eglington.

i got it sitting on the shelf in front of me. i'm kind of lazy when it comes to rippin tapes but if enough people wanted it i guess i'd bother. side B really stands out.. the last track in particular.. too dawk!

Yeah that's the guy I met aswell. He was like italian. A friend and I helped flyer for this. We had to visit tht office on Laird a few times.
Anyhow, both Utopias were definately legendary parties in Toronto. The Event on
a whole; music, sound, lighting, venue were all bOh!

i remember this, i like the way we all just peed in buckets like good little ravers. What the fuck were we doing? I don't really even remember people complaining about it. Where the hell was this party? I remember i got a tape with the ticket, which I still have both.
This was also the night i licked Darren Jay's jacket. lol I hugged him and... LONG STORY....
i distinctly remember stevie hyper screaming "do you have the stamina?"
delicious.

Alright gang, let's set the record straight. My name is on the back of the insert in the first promo tape. I'm definitely not Italian and last time I checked in the mirror-I ain't black. Oh, and Chris...I admit I carried around something under my coat most of the time but I don't think it was attitude bro. Nice site BTW, thanks for keeping it real!

I remember I was sick as a dog for this party but I had to go grab a "book". Once I got there I remember thinking sick or not this is to insane to miss.

YES ! this party was it. The funny thing is that at the second one people tried to flod the bathrooms by clogging the sinks! to get back at the promoters for the bucket thing ! that nicky black set was BASH ! I was right in the middle of the jungle areana all night !

anyone remember that amazing light thingy they had around the dj stand like some sort of flashing boards or something??

also the second utopia was wiked...hot dirty sweaty jungle room at rpm with roni size who tore it up..i think with brian g and l double also
