Description: Another shot from the Ghost Town known as Strange. Located just west of King City next to Hwy 400. There quite a few of these columns along Weston Road around this ghost town. Only a couple old homes still exsist. The symbol can be found on all of these columns. What did it represent? The town was settled in the mid to early 1800's

The Symbol

That symbol looks a bit Masonic. The Masons, and there are many conspiracy theories about them.

This is in Canada, and these pillars are around the ghost town? Are they old pillars from a fence, iron or otherwise? Wonder what the pillars were for?

Mystery

I did a bit of research and found out that it was quite common for farmers to create their own symbol that represented the harvesting of Wheat and used pillars or post to mark the boundries of their land. This is actually a Wheat Sheef with a Sickle. A wealthy farmer who cultivated Wheat once owned this land. This is one of many Pillars found here. The original farm is long gone. These are the only reminders of its exsistence. No idea what the farm was called. Lots of mystery here.
